Hi, my name is Tyler Cody!
In my self-discovery journey, I initially pursued business but found it unsuccessful. However, I discovered my true passion for graphic design. Regrettably, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted my academic progress and diminished my enthusiasm for my major when I transitioned to online learning at the College of Dupage. Despite this, I sought admission to the Visual Communication program at Northern Illinois University but was denied entry and forced to transfer to the Bachelor of Science in Art program. Initially considering abandoning my chosen major, NIU’s diverse curriculum and practical teaching methods in graphic design ignited a newfound passion. I also developed an interest in UX/UI design and excelled in the class, becoming one of the few students who fully understood interactive design and usability. Motivated by this newfound knowledge, I decided to pursue a minor degree in marketing but switched to the Professional Sales certificate to gain practical sales skills. This experience proved invaluable, as I had previously struggled with business courses in high school. As a senior, I gained practical sales experience in a class, transforming me from an introverted individual into an extroverted one with improved communication, teaching, and explanation abilities.
